Joton opens 2012 with over 70 signed references, and among them there are collaborations with world-renowned producers such as Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Pacou, Exium, Paul Mac, Grovskopa, A. Paul, Radial, Baas Mooy, Jeroen Search, Christian Wunsch ... Joton is now indisputably a professional dj and producer. He finds the possibility, so long sounded, to devote himself fully to music. As for work in the cabin: from 2005 shares space with devoted dj's as Kazu Kimura, Pepo or Exium ... and he continually learns from them. He runs with them their `tours’ around the peninsula. Before long his pieces of work are profiled in media such as magazine Dj1 or charts the likes of Rolando (UR - Detroit, USA), Subspace (Axis - Mirage, FR), Gayle San (Equator - Singapur), Ben Sims (Hardgroove - UK), Oscar Mulero (WarmUp - ES)...

BSF Radioshow 036 | Pacou


Pacou was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. Back in 1989 the sounds of House and Techno music took off there. He became a music collector and went to many now legendary parties and club events, which greatly influenced his future career. In september 1996 he released his first record under the name "agent cooper" (on the label "Raw Music") and shortly after his first single on Tresor as "Pacou". The following year 1997, Tresor released Pacou's first album "Symbolic Language", and he became a resident DJ at the club. The year 1998 marked a substantial progress in both DJ and production aspects of his career. He started playing around Europe.

BSF Radioshow 035 | Joachim Spieth


Joachim Spieth is a long time DJ, producer and label boss of Affin. Whether through the music he produces himself, or the productions he releases on his own imprint, the sounds always operate in their own little pockets away from the norm. It all started with ‘Abi 99’ – one of the earliest 12”s Cologne stable Kompakt ever released. At the time it was supported by legendary UK radio DJ John Peel and, in turn, was followed up with more huge early success in the form of ‘Under Pressure’, a split single EP on Speicher with Michael Mayer.

BSF Radioshow 034 | Igor Glushko


Igor Glushko is a resident dj and booker for Addicted crew, the formation responsible for a series of techno/house events in Kiev hosting artists like Marcel Fengler, Function, Cio D’Or, Xhin, Convextion, Peter van Hoesen, DVS1, Levon Vincent, Perc, Vince Watson and Andy Stott. Before even starting djing publicly he used to work as an editor in Djam Magazine which was the only proper music-related printed publication in Ukraine at the time. Since about 2008 he has managed to collect hundreds of excellent vinyl records, both new and rare classics, and of course has made numerous quality events possible with the likes of Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Mathew Jonson, Scuba, Rolando, Deetron, Move D, Shackleton and many many others playing in Kiev for the very first time.

BSF Radioshow 033 | Exium


Exium, an electronic music duo of producers and performing artists, consists of Valentin Corujo and Hector Sandoval. Their musical careers have flowed together from their origins as dj’s back in 1994, playing as resident dj’s in small clubs in Asturias –Spain- to 1999 when they decided to start producing together, forming Exium. Their music and sets have undergone constant evolution. From an outset marked by hard, rough and minimalist sounds, now they aim towards downtempo, minimal, detroit or electro, a shift which has taken them to pursuing solo projects which allow them to give free rein to all their influences. In this facet, their work is signed with the aliases Lasik (Valentin Corujo) and Komatsu or Metazoo (Hector Sandoval).

BSF Radioshow 032 | Ray Kajioka


Ray Kajioka is a german techno producer, DJ and live performer since 1995. He is well-known for his work on Kanzleramt Music, Rotation Records, MakTub, Muller Records, as well as his remixes for names like Dave Clarke, Pawas. Joel Mull, Secluded, Elbee Bad etc. His releases “Sparks” and “Thrill”, fall 2011 on Kanzleramt, became a huge hit and have been listed in many DJ charts of big names like Laurent Garnier, Ken Ishi, Joel Mull, Alan Fitzpatrick, Secret Cinema, Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin, Charles Siegling, Ida Engberg, Nima Khak, Dustin Zahn, Estroe, Claude Young, Nihad Tule, Pa?r Grindvik, to name few.. Even "Thrill" became one of Sven Va?th's favorite tracks this year, which has re- released on the popular compilation Sven Va?th in the Mix - The Sound Of The 13th Season.

BSF Radioshow 028 | Etapp Kyle


When first notes containing snippets of the Ukrainian producer’s work started appearing at some thematic blogs in 2011, the one could tell right away: his romance with techno music will last forever. Walking the path between demo recordings and debut release for Kiev-based Indeks Music which only took couple months, he ended up with an early success that resulted in a series of consequent events. A track after another, Sergey gets supported by the likes of DVS1, Jeroen Search, Ness, Patrick Walker, Monoloc, Roberto Bosco and NX1, and that’s not said in regard to regular promo pool feedback - constant rotation would be the proper way to say. And while Etapp Kyle was visiting the legendary Moscow institution Arma17, Richie Hawtin decided to finish his set (and, accordingly, the event itself) at Time Warp festival with Sergey’s epic tune «Sourness».

Armed with drum machines, samplers and groove boxes, Denis and Andrey are experienced enough to know how to bring a dance floor to life. Being the residents of the BSF promo group and frequent guest act at the legendary underground institution that «Cinema Club» is, Woo York undoubtedly represent one of the brightest stars of Ukrainian techno scene. Their recent activities prove that in full extent with the main evidence being their shift towards the more «mature» side both sound-wise and in terms of technological development.

Born in 1981 in Odessa city the most beautiful city in Ukraine, Ruslan choosed his profession at the age of 14 and could realize himself as a DJ at 19 years old by getting his first award from Association DJ PROFY. Since that time Ruslan Mays doesn’t stop playing at the biggest clubs and festivals all around Ukraine and Russia. Due to his love to music and popularity he starts his own radioshow project “The Real Techno Mix”. During 7 years this project is leader in ukrainian radioshows charts. Jeroen has produced tracks for labels such as : Mission6277/Axis, Grammar, LL-records, Molecular Recordings, Central Special Projects, Ion, Audiosculpture, Cache and Underground Liberation, Outland records and Smallville records. Future releases are planned for Pohjola and Figure SPC. Meeting Dimi Angélis back in 2003 a new partnership was born which eventually led the techno act “counterpart”, with their release on Jeff Mills’ Mission6277/Axis in 2006. Due to that release they decided that it had become time to start to perform as a live act. They put together a dynamic and energetic live set with lots of hardware on stage. Getting gigs at festivals and clubs gives them the opportunity to move forward in today’s techno scene without forgetting about the past..

BSF Radioshow 024 | Woo York with Ryuji Takeuchi


Ryuji Takeuchi was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with electronic music in the early 90s. In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he started to spin at partied with his friends. At that time, he played across techno, electro and house music no matter how he wanted. As soon as he got back he obtained 2 turntabels and a mixer, so that he check out a lot of records for inspirations. For that moment, he was interested in various style of music, including even deep house, jazz and ambient. After that, he got a sampler and sequencer to start his career as a producer, eventually learned programming and editting. That was the time when he unconsciously established his studio skills to transform plenty of idea to evil productions. Then, he has recently founded his own imprint, 'Local Sound Network' on which he intends to introduce talented producers from local to global. Through all the experiences, he's still looking for a way to inspire the world...

Los Angeles born and bred, Vangelis and Vidal Vargas were raised in the ’80s on a steady diet of Latin freestyle, electro, and new wave that pervaded their urban environment. Their father also exposed them to cutting edge progressive acts Vangelis, Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk, planting early seeds for aural exploration. By the mid ’90s they were sampling LA’s underground club scene and heavily researching electronic music’s roots. After years of influence they began to express their musical vision through their own recordings and performances. Vidal and Vangelis eventually found common ground with producer / performer Drumcell, and in 2002 they formed the Droid Behavior event production group and record label out of frustration with the city’s lack of knowledge, acceptance, and understanding for Midwest-bred techno and house music and their European counterparts.

Glenn Wilson was one of the first producers to emerge from the swedisch techno scene. Since 1992 he opened his own record shop in Stockholm and founded his Planet Rhythm label to promote Swedish artists like Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer and Jesper Dahlback to put out their first ep's. Glenn also founded the Compound and Template labels. Glenn's style is hard minimalistic techno, hard techno in it's purest form.
